Alonso inks deal with Ferrari 'til 2016

Racer Fernando Alonso signed a contract extension with Ferrari for another 5 years. The 29-year obviously excited about the deal, joining the Italian team in 2010. Since join Ferrari, Alonso has 5 wins in 23 starts, and captured almost 300 world championship points.

The Spanish Grand Prix takes place at the Catalunya circuit May 22.

The all new 2011 BMW X1 is BMW latest attempt to capture that growing segment of the market that are looking for size and ability, but a little more mileage in terms of fuel efficiency. The X1 engine is a 3.0L 4-cylinder engine that puts out 241HP. This is plenty of HP for getting around the city, the daily commute, or for having a little fun on the open road. The base price of the X1 is a modest $38K, which is very competitive and should certainly trap some aspirational buyers who've long for the BMW SUV but were hesitant because of the price tag. Fully loaded, the X1 will fetch somewhere close to $60K, and as new engine are incorporated into the model you can be sure that more power will be on the menu.

As a VW TDI driver, I've been ahead of the curve in terms of what fuel economy is all about and how much it can save you over the long run. I saw a brand new VW TDI Jetta on the road the other day and said to myself I have to get one. Aside from the fact that I dont have 30 grand burning a hole in pocket, I'm gonna put another couple hundred thousand clicks on my 2003 instead. I love the rear tailights, the lines, finally they threw some foglights on there, would like to see some LED or Xenon action on the front headlights. Taking a look at the interior, still very simple and basic, but with a leather luxury package and full technology package with navigation, what else do you need? It's a great looking car, with excellent performance, and all things considered good car if you have a family too.

The all new Audi certianly boast some amazing features, let alone the bone crushing, uber aggresive design. If there was a new RoboCop movie, this A7 should be his ride. The cars focus as much on design as it does efficiency, and the top end engine has a meagre 300 HP, with 226lb/ft of torque. Full front and back LED head and tail lights are smashing.

The interior of the car is pretty slick too; there is no shortage of technology. With an entry level price tag of just under 60k, for its looks it appears to be a pretty decent value. Customize this puppy the way you want it, and next thing you know you're probably pushing 100k. That being said, she is surely a beauty.
